I'm Eric, an AI and robotics software engineer based in Santa Barbara. I build systems end to end: real-time control, hardware interfaces, perception, backend services, and the interfaces that operators actually use.
At Productive Robotics, that means a 1 kHz C++ motion stack across EtherCAT and CAN, industrial-device integrations, 3D perception, and Vue operator software. I've shipped more than 100 production features across three robot platforms and hardened them for long, unattended runs.
Before robotics, I built factory automation and a six-figure HighQA–Epicor integration that increased throughput roughly 300% and eliminated about 16 hours of manual work per day. At Tesla, I built validation systems for the Gen 3 Wall Connector and a 52 kW DC/DC converter alongside firmware and electrical teams.
I'm also a two-time founder. ChangeUs is a patent-pending civic AI platform live in production, Clausi is a compliance auditor on PyPI, and DevReins is a publicly downloadable early-access console for supervising AI coding agents from a phone.
Outside of work, I surf, golf, play volleyball, and travel as much as possible. I'm at my best on small, strong teams solving hard systems problems with real-world consequences.
